Art Club: Masterpieces of Spanish Art from the Hapsburgs to the Modern Age

Unknown image

In this dynamic lecture series, art historian Page Knox surveys more than four centuries of painting and sculpture in Spain—beginning with art created at the 16th-century court of Philip II, then transitioning to the Bourbon kings and the Napoleonic period. In between, you explore the lives of some of the great patrons of Spanish art, the influence of the Catholic church and two inspirational Spanish women artists.
