The International African American Museum (IAAM), one of Smithsonian Magazine’s most anticipated museum openings of 2022, is set to open at Gadsen’s Wharf in Charleston, South Carolina late this fall. It was at this wharf in the late 1700s and early 1800s that up to 40 percent of all American slaves arrived to the United States. Dr. Tonya Matthews, President and CEO of IAAM, will lead you on this special, behind-the-scenes tour before the museum opens to the public and will show you artifacts that have never been on display.

Complimentary Gift: Charleston is famous for its architecture, rich history, beautiful beaches and outstanding food scene. Prior to this experience, clients received a curated selection of lowcountry treats.

This program took place live on June 16, 2022. Recording link available to Diamond Honors tier members; email us to learn more.
